Overview

​Unlike many National Park Service sites, the William Howard Taft National Historic Site is located in a complex urban environment with close ties to several historic and cultural institutions. The siting, massing and detailing of the facility offers a respectful --- even deferential --- nod to this context while using locally-sourced materials that assist in the operations of a highly efficient facility.
